Breville panini press
Panini introduction
With a Breville panini press it becomes easy to create your own exciting panini sandwiches. When you go out to a delicatessen or other sandwich shop, these grilled paninis can cost round about $10 or more. This is why even though the purchase of a panini maker is not all that cheap, provided you actually use the device to make your own grilled sandwiches you will soon make more than your money back and will be saving every time you use it. They are very convenient to use and make it possible for you to whip up a delicious tasting sandwich very quickly. Using a Breville panini press or one of the other popular manufacturers like Cusinart, DeLonghi or Hamilton, you are only limited by your imagination. These types of appliances along with Italian pasta maker machines are becoming more popular these days. There are plenty of different types of sandwiches that you can make in these machines. For example the bread that you use can vary including breads like foccacia and ciabatta but we can also use less exotic breads. In fact you can pretty much use any kind of bread in a panini machine. Panini is an Italian word which is the plural form of panino. And when it comes to the fillings just using your favorite ingredients is a great option. Be careful though of "wet" things like tomatoes. These can turn a nice crispy sandwich into a soggy mess. Instead, sundried tomatoes can work really well. Their flavor is amazing while they will not cause the panini to become as wet as if you used fresh tomatoes.
Panini press features
Some panini presses come with detatchable plates. This means that they can be easier to clean. However other ones come with fixed plates so the only option is to give them a good wipe down after use. The machines that are made now-a-days come with non-stick coated plates which are hard wearing and often scratch resistant. The new Breville panini presses have Quantanium coated cooking surfaces. You can read more about this on the Breville panini press technology page. This new non-stick coating means that we do not need to use butter or oils which makes it possible to eat lower fat paninis. Also the coating makes it easy for us to clean our panini makers. Many of the current Breville panini making machines have a flat bottom plate and then a ribbed to plate. This gives your sandwiches the authentic grilled look. The flat lower plate makes it possible to cook much more than just paninis on the machines. For example things like pancakes can easily be made on them. When we make grilled panini sandwiches, the bread and filling we use will determine the height of the sandwich. And because this can vary quite a lot it is very useful that Breville panini presses can have their height adjusted. It also makes it possible to prepare open melt sandwiches by suspending the upper plate above the toppings. A currently popular model is the Breville Panini Duo. This sandwich press has a 1500 watt heating element that makes it easy to prepare your panini quickly. On this model, the heating plates are not removable. This can be seen as a draw back however because of the non-stick coating it is actually fairly painless to clean. Breville produce many different toasted sandwich and panini making products for both home and commercial use. This means it should be possible to find one that fits your needs.
Breville panini presses
If you need a panini press that allows you to remove the plates for cleaning then the Breville Panini Duo may not be your best option. This is because the cooking plates cannot be removed. On the flip side however, this model is a well constructed, solid and affordable. The combination of a flat lower plate and top grill plates mean you get an evenly cooked panini sandwich with the lovely markings on top. There are many other panini makers in the Breville range including the Panini Grill TG425XL as well as the The Smart Grill BGR820XL. However the Duo BSG520XL is the cheapest of the three. A Breville panini press can be much more than a novelty kitchen appliance.
